Christos is known for his work on the TV series Daredevil, Hawaii Five-0, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Numbers and the films The Breed and Teenage Caveman. He has worked on Angel & Faith, Avengers Academy, The Amazing Spider-Man and The Superior Spider-Man, Spider-Geddon and has written tie-in books for the “Civil War” and “World War Hulk” storylines.
His latest book, Iron Man 2020, is co-written by Dan Slott with art from Pete Woods. Artificial Intelligences present a danger to humanity that must be stopped. As the Robot Rebellion battles for the establishment of robot rights, someone new will don the Iron Man suit: Arno Stark, the long-lost brother of Tony Stark.

Ultimate Comics 16th Anniversary Birthday Bash
Come out to Ultimate Comics Durham on August 17th and help us celebrate the 16th anniversary of Ultimate Comics with an all our birthday bash! We’re going to have a huge tent sale, creator signings, a charity blood drive, and a visit from our friends Boom Studios!

Ultimate Comics is also teaming up with our friends the Ghostbusters of NC and the Blood Connection to host a blood drive to benefit the amazing charity, Magic Wheelchair! The Ghostbusters of NC will be decked out with their proton packs and will be hanging out all day with the Blood Connection crew to take pictures with anyone who stops by to donate! Introducing the first Ultimate Comics live show this August 3rd and 4th! Hey comic fans, Aaron from A Comic Shop is excited to dig through about a million comics in the Ultimate Comics Super Secret Warehouse to get you your fix! We’re starting with a five hour live show on both Saturday and Sunday with vintage, new, variants, exclusives, runs, and even some FREE COMICS! There’ll also be graphic novels, toys, and statues!
More to be announced, but this will have something for everyone!

Did you miss our last huge dollar book sale at the Ultimate Comics Super Secret Warehouse? Do you love comedy? Boy do we have an event for you! Ultimate Comics is partnering with Mettlesome in downtown Durham for a huge bash Saturday July 13th all day long! Dollar comics, and comic book-inspired events all afternoon in downtown Durham.
2:00 – 8:00 — Dollar Comics and Great Deals on Comic Books. Special guest Cliff Bumgardner of podcast Internet Picnic will be signing copies of his work Dreams 4 Sale!
3:00 – 4:30 — FREE Improv Comedy 101 Drop-In
Spend 30 minutes with Mettlesome improv instructors playing games and learning the basics of improv comedy. (Three 30-minute sessions).
5:00 – 6:00 — Lickety Split
Who’s comic book is it anyway? Join us for an hour of lightening fast, fun comedy games inspired by our favorite heroes and villains! This is show is appropriate for all ages.
7:30 8:30 — Super Readers Theater
Settle in for a show where your favorite books jump from the page to the stage with a live reading by professional actors!
For this special Ultimate Block Party Show, we’re choosing two of our favorite comic books to read aloud. Using the Comixology App, panels will be projected on a screen above while our actors embody the voices of some of our favorite comic characters below.
This show is appropriate for all ages.
9:00 – 10:00 — Golden Age ft. Internet Picnic
For the past three years the cast of Golden Age has been interviewing local artists and creatives about their work and transforming it into comedy magic. Our special guest this month is Cliff Bumgardner from the podcast “Internet Picnic.” He’ll be reading from his new work and sharing all his deepest darkest secrets.
10:00 – ??? — Improv Jam
No experience necessary. Anyone who wants to do some improv comedy will get a chance to perform. Bonus points if you cosplay.
